Again, I’ve fallen behind. Ugh. I’m trying to get back in the swing of posting, things have just been crazy around here. I’ve picked up more hours at work, The Girls have piano lessons, Girl Scouts is starting and this weekend was our local country fair. All of these things are great, but time consuming, leaving precious few moments for my blogging. I’ll try harder, I promise! Especially for those of you new to bento lunches. I remember when I first started, I was obsessed, checking the blogs I followed several times a day hoping for new posts to devour. For you I will post more often, but if I don’t be sure to check out the other fantastic bento blogging Mommas in my blogroll over there, I promise you won’t be disappointed!
Now, on to the bento!!
This is one of The Youngest’s snacks from last week, it’s in her favorite panda box that we bought at our beloved Borders that has now closed. In it she has all orange snacks, including goldfish, a tiny clementine. itty bitty pumpkin cookies and carrot sticks with ranch dip. She didn’t notice that everything was orange until I asked her what all the food had in common when she came home that day! Next time I’m leaving a note as a clue!
Here’s a snack for The Youngest in our trusty Sassy box, this one has sliced plums and oranges, with goldfish and a small bag of Halloween pretzels. Simple and was completely gobbled up!
Here’s a lunch bento for The Youngest that had some homemade fried rice in the bottom tier along with blood orange slices, strawberry hearts and blueberries in the top tier.
I’ll leave you with a little snack bento for The Youngest again, (I know, no “teen” bentos again!, I did have a photo of one and when I uploaded it I noticed it was completely blurry. Fuzzy morning brain strikes again! @#$#%#*&!! I promise, tomorrow I WILL GET A PICTURE OF THE OLDEST’S LUNCH!) This one is simple, mallomar with sugar eyes attached with cream cheese, half of a clementine and a strawberry also with sugar eyes. The little cup has a sprinkle of sugar to dip the strawberry in. As one of my fellow bento blogging mom friends wisely said, “Sugar eyes make all the difference between an ‘eh’ and an ‘awwwww’!” Couldn’t have said it better myself! Go check her out over at Biting the Hand that Feeds You. You won’t be disappointed! Tell her I sent you!
Have a great night and see you tomorrow (I promise!),
