Trashless Tuesday (#2)

Well, we tried it again, and succeeded! I managed to make The Youngest’s lunch and snack today completely trash-free! You all remember last week I challenged myself to go completely trashless in her lunch and this week as Tuesday rolled around The Youngest reminded me that indeed Trashless Tuesday was upon us again. I love that it made an impression on her, that she really thought about what it meant and wanted to do it again. So we pulled out our trusty Lock and Lock sets and handily packed her a completely trashless lunch.

For lunch The Youngest had a peanut butter and jelly on multigrain bread, along with that she had a Mallomar for dessert. The Girls have recently discovered these and have decided that they are The Best Cookie Known To Mankind. Well this week anyway. In the other tier she has some sunchips, a tiny pear, a few grapes on a turtle pick and a pics of banana. This lunch came home empty, and as you can see I was able to fit quite a bit of her fruit for the day in there.

For snack on Trashless Tuesday she had, also in a Lock and Lock, abc cookies, a strawberry “dude” as she calls them, a couple grapes and a few slices of pepperoni on picks. The strawberry dude is cute right? Well it’s just some candy eyes “glued” on a strawberry with cream cheese, simple don’t you think? I can’t take credit for it though- I lifted this idea from the fabulous Melissa over at Another Lunch, a fantastic bento lunch blog you should definitely check out.
well that’s all for tonight, I’ll do some more catching up tomorrow!

Sweet dreams,
